RABBIS DREAM ABOUT MESSIAH

“In the extreme Orthodox Community in Israel, three rabbis were reported to have had the same dream on the same night…[regarding the appearance of the] Messiah…From a Jewish rabbi when asked when the Messiah would come, ‘Those who tell don’t know, and those who know don’t tell…'”

“TAKING NO CHANCES ON ‘MESSIAH DREAM’

“A CONCERNED reader in Jerusalem writes:

“‘Last December an incredible story made its round in the yeshiva circuit. Briefly, it went as follows: One night in December three well-known rabbis had the same dream, to wit, that the Messiah would appear within 120 days….

“‘In my efforts to track the story down to its source, I was advised that the three rabbis to whom the vision had appeared were the Sanzer Rebbe, Rabbi Sharabi and Rabbi Abuhatzeira. I was also told that the Lubavitcher Rebbe had prescribed a ‘half fast’ during the waiting period and that the head of a prominent Jerusalem yeshiva had advised that ‘tshuva’ (repentance) during the period wouldn’t hurt. Neither of these eminent scholars endorsed the vision, of course, but both thought that precautionary measures might be in order.

“‘The story was so widespread that it was reported in The Jewish Chronicle of London. In my inquiries of a number of yeshiva students none would express outright belief in the story, but all hedged with ‘You never can tell–there may be something in it’…”

Jerusalem Post Letters to the Editor

To the CONCERNED Reader, S.H.A.–Jerusalem Post of May 15, 1980.

Truth or fiction, which? Strangely reminiscent of the three Rabbis’ dreams, visions, etc., a woman from Waco, Texas, Mrs. Lois I. Roden, mother of six, arrived in Jerusalem, April 4, very near the end of the predicted 120 days, in search of Rabbi Goren to share with him the electrifying news of the return of the Holy Shekhinah “as a travailing woman,” to Jerusalem (Isa. 42:14), to herald the coming of Messiah, The Branch.

Jerusalem, Israel

“A report that three rabbis dreamed of the imminent arrival of the Messiah aroused hopes because of the tensions in the Middle East….The rumor first circulated in the religious quarters of Jerusalem, Judaism’s holy city, where it was the topic of animated conversation in synagogues and social gatherings. A reporter for Israel Radio heard the story and put it on the air….Bible scholars said many signs do exist that the Messiah may arrive soon. The Gemara, an ancient commentary on the Bible, says that severe price rises may be one indication. Inflation in Israel now is more than 100 percent annually.”

Palm Beach Post January 11, 2980

Having been away from Jerusalem for 17 years and the city greatly changed, Mrs. Roden had difficulty finding her way to the Great Synagogue Sabbath morning. About to despair of finding her way, she saw people going into what she later found to be the Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, where a young girl was reading the Torah at her Bas Mitzvah. Being deeply impressed, Mrs. Roden joined the worshippers in the after services conducted by the Rabbi in which he gave a beautiful interpretation of “love from the Torah that embraces all mankind.”

Mrs. Roden gathered courage to request a few minutes to speak with the Rabbi. Her request granted, she asked for a later appointment to speak about the subjects on her mind and to learn if her views were in harmony with Rabbinical teaching.

She explained to him how, since 1977 Feast of Tabernacles, she had been shown that the Holy Spirit, whose origin is the Holy Shekhinah, is the FEMININE representation of God, and that she thought the year 1980, Pesach, was the time for the earthly representation of the Holy Shekhinah to announce to Israel the return of the Shekhinah to Jerusalem to prepare for the coming of the Messiah.

She mentioned her view on the prophecy of Psalms 110:4 of the coming of Melchizedek, which she sees as a DUAL prophecy of the coming of a FEMININE representative of God to Jerusalem, to reveal Messiah, The Branch. She thinks the key is found in the word, “Melchizedek,” which she believes contains a feminine representation of God, since in the original Hebrew MLK, or “Melchi,” is King or Queen, and “zedek” is righteousness, or Melchizedek, King OR Queen of Righteousness.

She sees that the same name, “Melchizedek…’Zedek’ an ancient NAME for Jerusalem (Jewish Encyclopedia, p. 450, under “M”), indicates a feminine representation of God (SHE); and the “Zedek,” a feminine noun for righteousness, would indicate Jerusalem, the “Mother” of us all, The Branch, SHE, the Lord (Queen-Mlk) our Righteousness, according to Jeremiah 33:15, 16. (“Zedek”–

3

Queen of Peace.) Mrs. Roden also connected Zechariah 6:12, 13 with Psalms 110:4. Therefore, she concludes that Jerusalem is to become the Queen of Kingdoms, for Peace!

She told of her first revelation of the Heavenly Shekhinah, in the Creation Story of Genesis 1:1, 2. “In the beginning God created….And the SPIRIT (Shekhinah) of God moved (hovered-brooded) upon (over) the face of the waters (a mother hen hovers, broods over her chickens).”

She discussed Genesis 1:26-28, with the following observations: “And God (ELOHIM: “Eloh-feminine, “im”-masculine) said, Let US (at least two) make man (Adham-word for ‘human being,’ both masculine and feminine) in OUR (at least two) IMAGE (likeness)…and let THEM (2) have DOMINION…”

So God (‘Eloh’ – ‘im,’ plural, feminine and masculine) created man (Adham-human being) in his own IMAGE (male and female), in the IMAGE of God (Eloh-im) created he him…created he THEM. And God blessed THEM, and God said unto THEM, Be fruitful…and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have DOMINION.” Notice, in the beginning dominion was given to THEM BOTH.

Mrs. Roden concludes from the original rendering of the text, a feminine IMAGE of God is shown in the creation of Eve–of “LIVING” flesh and bone–in contrast to Adam’s creation–formed from the dust of the ground and THEN, becoming a “Living Soul.” She noted that in the family picture, the male and female are termed “ONE.” Gen. 2:24.

Therefore, she sees two IMAGES of God in the earth, one Male, Adam, and one Female, Eve, in their perfection. However, after Adam and Eve sinned, she says a sublime prophecy was given for woman to fulfill in Genesis 3:15. “And I will put enmity between THEE and THE WOMAN, and between THYseed and HER SEED; THEY shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise THEIR heel.”–The Holy Scriptures According to the Masoretic Text, A New Translation, The Jewish Publications Society of America, Philadelphia.

She believes that Adam and Eve were two images OF the order of MELCHIZEDEK and God purposed that through obedience to His laws they should LIVE FOREVER: but, that because the master plan for mankind was interrupted by the Serpent, God made provision whereby they could be REINSTATED in their lost kingdom and eternal life restored without death, and could, once more, be given to mankind through strict obedience to the broken laws of God through TWO Mediators–THE HOLY SHEKHINAH and THE MESSIAH Who are represented on earth by TWO PERSONS (male and female) who make known the prophecies concerning the return of the DIVINE PRESENCE to

Jerusalem, in a cloud by day and a fire by night (Isa. 4:5). And that then, God’s original plan for man and woman will be realized and EQUALITY restored “as in the beginning,” before sin put Eve UNDER THE DOMINION of her husband.

These thoughts, coupled with the date of 1980, Mrs. Roden indicates is the BEGINNING of the restoration of the ten tribes and their return to Israel from

4
the lands of their dispersion (Isa. 11:16) in fulfillment of the prophecies of Eze. 37:15-18.

After her discussion with the Rabbi on Shabbat, Mrs. Roden went to the Mt. of Olives the next day to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. She erected an altar of 12 stones and, facing the city of Jerusalem, offered bread and wine, symbolizing the ancient blessing of Melchizedek to Abraham and NOW to his seed who are in possession of the land. During the offering, she saw TWO TURTLEDOVES fly overhead. Afterward, several birds resembling large crows left the area.

A few days later, Mrs. Roden was returning to Jerusalem from a trip to the Dead Sea, the afternoon preceding the last day of the week of Pesach. She picked up a young soldier and a Rabbi who had been waiting for some time for a ride back to Jerusalem before the Shabbat began.

She again made an attempt to get in touch with Rabbi Goren. Though it was almost time for the shops to close in Mea Shearim when Mrs. Roden took the Rabbi to his home, he made an effort to help her locate Rabbi Goren by telephone, but was unable to reach him.

Therefore, Mrs. Roden wrote a note to Rabbi Goren and left it to be delivered, announcing the coming of The Branch of Jeremiah 33:15, 16, and Zechariah 6:12, 13, WHO should build the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. Thus, ended the week of Pesach, 1980.

Mrs. Roden left Jerusalem and returned to the United States to attend a World Conference of delegates from 190 nations held in Dallas, Texas, April 16-20, 1980, where she shared with them these same thoughts, about the coming of the Holy Shekhinah and the Messiah.

On April 29, she attended a rally in Washington, D.C., where an estimated 200,000 delegates from every state in the United States, were assembled to pray for a revelation from God to solve the problems of mankind. She shared with them the good news of the return of the SHEKHINAH and the MESSIAH to Jerusalem, which, she says, will be THE FUTURE CITY OF PEACE.

She arrived back in Jerusalem, with her son, Monday the 12th day of May, in the middle of a dust storm, for the festival of Shavuot, to commemorate the law of life, the giving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai.

They were refreshed at the Hotel Moriah by the gentle rain which fell during the early morning hours, Tuesday, the 13th, and were reminded of the rain which fell during harvest time, as recorded in the Bible (1 Sam. 12:17-25) when Israel’s first king was chosen.

“Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the Lord, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which ye have done in the sight of the Lord, in asking you a king. So Samuel called unto the Lord; and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel. And all the people said unto Samuel,

5

Pray for thy servants unto the Lord thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king. And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart; And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver, for they are vain. For the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the Lord to make you his people. Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king.” 1 Samuel 12:17-25.

Mrs. Roden’s son brought along his drawings of the plans for the foundation of the mystical Temple, shown to Ezekiel, and which is to be built on a NEW temple site west of the city, as a place of prayer for “all people.” She says that the

measurements of this Temple are much greater than any of the previous structures by Solomon or Haggai or Zechariah. She thinks the construction of this Temple would ease the present tension of all, over the old Temple site.

Mrs. Roden believes she has knowledge of the measurement of the “cubit” necessary to the construction of this Temple and that the plans should be presented in the SECOND month of 1980, as this was the month in which the Temple was begun anciently.

Therefore, another attempt was made to contact Rabbi Goren, but it found him busy at Court in the East part of the city. So, Mrs. Roden introduced her son to a Rabbi on Wednesday, who was asked to look at the plans for the new Temple. They were received with courtesy and were allowed to speak about the proposed site and the means of raising funds for building the Temple.

Mrs. Roden believes the prophecies will be fast fulfilling as recorded in Micah 4; Isaiah 2:4; and Hosea 3:5. She is interested in the following prophecies concerning Judah and Israel and gives her comments.

Hosea 2:14, 15: “Therefore, BEHOLD, I will allure HER, and bring HER into the wilderness (into the Gentile lands), and speak (by a prophet) comfortably (tenderly) unto HER. And I will give HER HER VINEYARDS from THENCE (from the place–“from BABYLON”).”

Micah 4:1,6,7,8,10,13: “Behold, IN THE END OF THE DAYS it shall come to pass….I will assemble HER that halteth…that is driven away (from Jerusalem)…HER that is afflicted….I will make HER that halteth a remnant….a mighty nation….In Mt. Zion from THENCEFORTH and FOREVER…..unto THEE(HER) shall it come…the FORMER DOMINION (Gen. 1:26, that was lost) shall come…(as Eden, Joel 2:3) THE KINGDOM OF THE DAUGHTER OF JERUSALEM (!!!)…Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O DAUGHTER of Zion, Like a WOMAN IN TRAVAIL (Isa. 42:14)…And thou shalt come EVEN TO BABYLON; THERE SHALT THOU BE RESCUED: THERE SHALL THE LORD REDEEM THEEfrom the hand of thine enemies…ARISE and THRESH, O

6

DAUGHTER of Zion (New Jerusalem); For I will make THINE horn IRON, and THY hoofs (feet) brass; and thou shalt beat in pieces many peoples.”

Micah 5:3,4,5,6: “Therefore, will he give them up (Judah and Israel), UNTIL the TIME that SHE (The Shekhinah) who travaileth hath brought forth: THEN the RESIDUE of his brethren (two tribes) shall return with the children of Israel (ten tribes), And he (the Messiah) shall stand, and feed his flock IN THE STRENGTH of the Lord (The Holy Shekhinah), in the majesty of the LORD (Shekhinah) his God; and (all) THIS shall be the PEACE; when the Assyrian shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our palaces THEN shall WE (the Messiah and the Shekhinah) raise against him seven shepherds and eight princes among men, and THEY shall waste the land of the Assyrian with the sword. And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the MIDST of MANY PEOPLES, as DEW from the Lord…As a lion…who treadeth down.”

REMEMBER:

Micah 6:8: “It hath been told thee, O man, WHAT IS GOOD, AND WHAT THE LORD DOTH REQUIRE OF THEE: only to do JUSTLY, and LOVE MERCY, and to WALK HUMBLY WITH THY GOD.”

Micah 6:9: “Hear ye the ROD, and (Hear ye) WHO hath appointed it.”

Mrs. Roden says, THEN, ONLY–shall the kingdom of PEACE COME! “WITH MELCHIZEDEK” (Two Lords, male and female, Psalms 110:4) WHOSE NEW NAME (Isa. 62:2) IS THE BRANCH (Zech. 6:12, 13; Jer. 33:15, 16) “WHO” SHALL BUILD THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD.”

Nahum 2:1-3: “Behold, upon the mountains (of Israel) the FEET (2) of Him that bringeth GOOD TIDINGS, that ANNOUNCETH PEACE! KEEP THY FEASTS, O JUDAH, Perform thy vows: For the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.”

Now that these facts have been told, one would conclude that they are either providential, or entirely coincidental, to say the least; and that the rumor which ran like wild fire from one yeshiva to another and even to England and America, may yet be found to be based on the Torah rather than a “so-called ridiculous vision!”

In fact, from the account given by Mrs. Roden, there is seen a fascinating turn of events, as envisioned by the three eminent Rabbis who could not possibly imagine the immediate result of their prediction because Mrs. Roden’s son, in

America, made a similar announcement of the Messiah at the Synagogue in Waco, Texas, the night of the first Seder, April 1, 1980, while Mrs. Roden was in Jerusalem during Pesach, speaking with three prominent Rabbis about the imminent return of the Shekhinah and the Messiah.

“And it shall come to pass in the END of days that the Lord’s house (The Temple) shall be established AS THE TOPS OF THE MOUNTAINS…AND ALL

7

NATIONS shall flow UNTO “IT.” For out of ZION shall go forth the LAW and the WORD of the LORDfrom JERUSALEM.” Isa. 2:2-4.

“So will the Lord of Hosts “come down” to fight upon Mt. Zion, and upon the hill thereof AS BIRDS(two turtledoves–the Shekhinah and the Messiah) hovering, so will the Lord of Hosts (the Shekhinah) protect Jerusalem; saith the Lord, Whose FIRE is in Zion and His FURNACE in Jerusalem.” Isa. 31:4-9.

All preceding Scriptures are taken from the Masoretic Text.

CONCLUSION

Mrs. Roden reasons: (1) That in the beginning Adam and Eve were created in the IMAGE of TWO DIVINE BEINGS, a male and a female — TWO BRANCHES of God on earth, as “ONE” flesh, each with a guardian angel, also in the IMAGE of God.

(2) That God (Elohim) purposed to reproduced THEIR IMAGES and populate the earth with Holy people, Kings and Priests “like” Themselves.

(3) That because of sin, God’s plan was obscured and lost sight of, so that TWO Angels, Michael and Gabriel, were chosen to communicate God’s will through messengers to men and woman to bring them back to their original state of perfection — without sin.

(4) That Daniel was made to understand the vision by Michael and Gabriel at the time Israel was to return to Canaan from Babylon. Likewise, Isaiah saw these two angels, the Lord’s Hosts, as birds (2) flying, hovering over Mt. Zion to protect and deliver Jerusalem (Isa. 31:4-9).

On his return to Canaan our father, Jacob, had a similar experience.

Genesis 32:1,2: “And Jacob went on his way, and the ANGELS of God met him. And when Jacob say THEM, he said, THIS IS GOD’S HOST: and he called the NAME of that place Ma-ha-na-im (mar. ref. ‘TWO hosts, or camps’).” TWO hosts or camps of heavenly angels–TWO Divine Messengers–Michael and Gabriel. (Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 195)

Mrs. Roden sees a parallel in the experience of Jacob’s return to Canaan with that of his seed who are NOW returning to the land promised to Abraham and his descendants.

That the words of all the Holy prophets assure Israel that once again, The Lords of Hosts, The Shekhinah and the Messiah will be the peace when the enemy comes in like a flood. For by the Voice of the Lords of Hosts shall the Assyrian be beaten down, “his princes shall be afraid of the Ensign.” Isa. 31:9.
