WHO IS MELCHIZEDEK?

“It was Christ who spoke through Melchizedek, the priest of the most high God. Melchizedek was NOT Christ, but he was the VOICE of God in the world, the REPRESENTATIVE of the Father [MELCHIZEDEK WAS THE HOLY SPIRIT].” – Selected Messages, Book 1, p. 409.

“THE HOLY SPIRIT IS CHRIST’S REPRESENTATIVE, but divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof.” – The Desire of Ages, p. 669:2.

“At a Council meeting at Avondale School in Australia about the year 1893 there were present Elders Haskell, F. L. H. Baker, G. B. Starr, and wives, and Sr. E. G. White, also W. A. Colcord, Editor of Australian Signs of the Times.

"Elder Colcord was addressed by Sr. White, when he asked, 'Who then is Melchizedek?'

“She replied, ‘I will tell you who Melchizedek was. HE WAS THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE THIRD PERSON OF THE GODHEAD, WHO TOOK THE FORM OF HUMANITY AND REPRESENTED THE LORD JESUS TO THAT GENERATION.’ Heb. 7:3. ‘. . . like unto the Son of God abideth a High Priest continually.’ [Like Christ in His priesthood.] Elder Haskell published the above in his paper, South Lancaster, Mass.” – Signed, G. B. Starr.

The foregoing statement was taken from The Liberator, Vol. 17, No. 7, and although not generally accepted as an authentic statement from Sister White, it carries the same thought that Melchizedek is the Holy Spirit.

“The light of the glory of God must fall upon us. We need the holy unction from on high [the power of the Holy Spirit] . . . If divine power does not combine with human effort, I would not give a straw for all that the greatest man could do. The HOLY SPIRIT is wanting in our work . . . What we need is the baptism of the Holy Spirit . . .

“No one is able to explain the Scriptures without the aid of the Holy Spirit.” – E. G. White, Selected Messages, Book 1, p. 411.

"God can teach you more in one MOMENT by His Holy Spirit than
                                             12
you could learn from the great men of the earth." - Ibid., p. 415.

“How do you know but that the Lord is giving FRESH evidences of His truth, placing it in a NEW setting, that the way of the Lord may be prepared? What plans have you been laying that NEW light may be infused through the ranks of God’s people? What evidence have you that God has not sent LIGHT to His children? All self sufficiency, egotism, and pride of opinion must be put away. . . IS NOT THIS A TIME WHEN IT WOULD BE HIGHLY PROPER TO FAST AND PRAY BEFORE GOD? . . . that we may know what is truth?” Ibid., p. 414.

“The NATURE of the Holy Spirit is a mystery. MEN cannot explain it, because the LORD HAS NOT REVEALED IT TO THEM.” The Acts of the Apostles, p. 52.

So, if we are ever to know the nature and gender of the Holy Spirit it would have to come as a DIVINE REVELATION TO A WOMAN??? Since “MEN cannot explain it.” – Ibid.

“For the INVISIBLE things of him from the creation of the world are CLEARLY SEEN, being understood by the THINGS that ARE MADE, EVEN HIS ETERNAL power and GODHEAD (Trinity): SO THAT THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE.” Rom. 1:20.

“‘In the beginning God.’ Genesis 1:1. Here alone can the mind in its eager questioning, fleeing as the DOVE to the ark, find rest . . .

“‘The INVISIBLE things of HIM since the creation of the world are . . perceived THROUGH THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE, even HIS everlasting POWER and DIVINITY (Trinity)’ . . .ONLY by the aid of that SPIRIT WHO in the beginning ‘was brooding (a mother hen broods her chicks) upon the face of the waters;’ of that WORD by WHOM ‘all things are made;’ of that ‘true LIGHT, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world,’ can the testimony of science be

rightly interpreted …. Only in the light of REVELATION can it be read aright.” – Education, p. 134.

“. . . Father. . . Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. . . Who is the IMAGE of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.” Col. 1: 12, 13, 15.

“And God said, Let US make MAN in OUR IMAGE, after OUR LIKENESS [two at least]: and let THEM [2] have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over . . . . [every creature] So God created man in his own IMAGE, in the IMAGE of God created he him; MALE [1] and FEMALE [1] created he THEM [1+1=2]. And God blessed them [2], and God said unto THEM [2], Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea. . .” Gen. 1:26-28.

“And the Lord formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Gen. 2:7.

“And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a WOMAN, and brought HER unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my BONES, and FLESH OF MY FLESH: SHE shall be called WOMAN, because she was taken out of MAN.” Gen. 2:21-23.

“MALE and FEMALE created he THEM; and blessed THEM, and called THEIR name ADAM, in the day when they were created [sixth day of creation].” Gen. 5:2.

"And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living." Gen. 3:20.

God named the woman ADAM. A woman goes by the MASCULINE name of her husband. All three members of the Godhead go by the masculine name of the Father, though one is feminine. Adam named woman Eve, meaning life, the living one, “The mother of All Living,” created of Living Flesh and bone – alive – a recreation – a symbol of our RE-BIRTH of the Spirit, RE-CREATION.

By creation Eve was a higher order of being than Adam (made of living flesh and bone). There is no record in the earth of her death – a symbol of the Holy Spirit – Melchizedek. Adam was formed of the dust of the ground – a record in the earth (image, formed of soil) born of Mother Earth – a record of death. Earthly parentage, a Symbol of Christ, the Second Adam, who was born of an earthly mother, and died in the heart of Mother Earth (in hands of sinful, earthly men), was resurrected by the Holy Spirit (1 Pet. 3:18) and taken to heaven to receive the power of the Spirit to breathe upon His dis-

Adam – created in the image of God, the Son, Who was the image of His Father. Eve – created in the image of God, the Holy Spirit (a feminine representation of God). Adam and Eve looked differently and were made differently. Therefore, they were created in the image of two different members of the Godhead, Male and Female, created He Them. The Trinity – plural creators made a plural creation, Male and Female, with the promise of a Son in Genesis 3:15.

Two images of God in the earth. When we perfectly reflect the image of Christ, He will come again.

Adam in the image of Christ, and Eve in the image of the Holy Spirit – the Glory of God. The IMAGE AND GLORY of God.

In 1977 at the Feast of Tabernacles further Revelations were given on the GENDER of the Holy Spirit, showing the THIRD PERSON was the FEMININE representation of the Trinity.

“There is no place on the face of the earth where so great light has been granted as at the _____. Even Jerusalem of old was not more highly favored with the beams of Heaven’s light shining upon the way that her people should tread. Yet they have failed to walk, by faithful obedience, in the full radiance of the light, serving God night and day. A sickly, dwarfed religion is the result of neglecting to follow the REVEALED LIGHT OF THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD. GENDER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT HE? IT? or SHE?

WHICH?

Heretofore, Bible translators and writers have referred to the Holy Spirit as He or It. Nowhere, has a definite gender been given to the THIRD PERSON of the Godhead.

For the times past, this definition or lack of positive identification has been sufficient. Now that we are to prepare for the merging of the Former Rain of Power into the Latter Rain

of Power it is vitally important that ALL THREE PERSONS of the Godhead be identified; especially so, since the Family on earth is the object of Satan’s supreme ire (directed against the woman and her seed, Gen. 3:15).

However . . . . . . . . . . .A SINGULAR [FEMININE] FORM CANNOT BE DENIED (!)."

All laymen, accept the gender of the Sanctuary as being feminine, represented as a pure woman.

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Rev. 21:2.

"But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the MOTHER of us all." Gal. 4:26.

“For this Agar [Hagar] is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is [earthly Jerusalem], and is in bondage with her children.” Gal. 4:25.

“NOW WE, brethren, as Isaac was, are the CHILDREN OF PROMISE . . . [Isaac born of the Spirit, children of Sarah, who represents the Heavenly Jerusalem – Sanctuary].” Gal. 4:28.

“And there appeared a great wonder in HEAVEN; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: . . . And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY).” Rev. 12:1,17.

“And the SPIRIT and the BRIDE say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Rev. 22:17.

“Clad in the armor of Christ’s righteousness, the church is to enter upon her final conflict. ‘Fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners,’ she is to go forth into all the world, conquering and to conquer.” – Prophets and Kings, p. 725.

19

Therefore: a literal woman (Sarah) with a literal name represented the Holy
Sanctuary above, the dwelling place of the Holy She-kinah.

“The holy Shekinah, in departing from the first temple, had stood upon the eastern mountain, as if loath to forsake the chosen city. . .” – The Desire of Ages, p. 829.

“. . . wings of the golden cherubim, and the unspeakable glory of the shekinah, the visible SYMBOL of the most high God . . . rested over it in the holy of holies.” – Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 584.

“Above the mercy-seat was the shekinah, the manifestation of the divine presence. . .” – Ibid., p. 349.

But, Sarah is dead and could not represent the Living Church (144,000) to be translated without death.

As a woman represented the True Church in 1844 during the
Judgment of the Dead (but who herself is now deceased) . . . . . .
Therefore: a LIVING woman with a literal name would of necessity represent the
Living Church, The Lord's Sanctuary, in The Judgment of the Living.

Ellen G. White on The Relation of Father and Son.

“2, 3. . . . . . . . . . . . . .The seventeenth chapter of John speaks plainly regarding the personality of God and of Christ, and of their relation to each other (a Father and a Son).

“‘Father, the hour is come,’ Christ said; ‘glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee.’ [John 17:23,3,5-11 quoted] HERE is PERSONALITY, and INDIVIDUALITY. (MS 124,1903).”

The Trinity being THREE PERSONS, each with individuality, and the Father and Son already revealed by the written word, one would expect a revelation of the nature and gender of the Holy Spirit, WHO is the Author of the written word. To learn about the AUTHOR of a book one would need to consult the author PERSONALLY, if nothing has been written concerning

                                             20
the gender and character of the one in question. (Rom. 10:17, 19; 1:18, 19, 20.)

The simplest clue to the gender of the Holy Spirit is to answer the question of how it is possible to have a Father, much less a Son, without a Mother. The term, Father, would be meaningless, likewise, a Son, without the means to produce the family image.

The woman is the glory of the man; likewise, the Holy Spirit is the Glory of God. (1 Cor. 11:7.)
