A victim of the violence of state
yet a victor in silence sedate
sliced, iced … sacrificed
his dictum is science innate

What said the christ? —
“Live by the sword, die by the sword”
— the zeitgeist of those who lord

These kingdoms when spring comes will end
a stateless king comes to transcend their coercion
he met it with aversion —
commending non-violent subversion

Those who make a Christian State
an anti-Christ thing they create

His kingdom is not of this world
or his servants would fight
Then what a sight — the fist hurled
by those who claim his name
yet endorse force, the course of the serpent’s bite

His teachings negate the state
it’s antithetical to his prophetical gate
Beseeching, he said it straight,

“The rulers of the nations lord it over them,
but it must not be so among you”

With relations restored, it’ll be over then,
no state, no sword,
no killing — just those who are willing to serve
in love and truth
